The trial court sentenced the defendant, who qualified as a violent offender, to fifteen years imprisonment in a special needs facility. In this appeal of right, the defendant presents the following issues for review: ""(I) whether the evidence is sufficient to support the conviction for second degree murder; ""(II) whether the trial court erred by denying the defendant's motion to suppress his custodial statement; and ""(III) whether Tenn. Code Ann. § 39-11-501, the statute governing the affirmative defense of insanity, is unconstitutional.""
